Fintech — identity & AML workflows

Identity verification workflows for fintech

Operationalise your customer onboarding, CDD/EDD evidence collection and ongoing AML re-screening with document capture, local sanctions/PEP screening, a manual reviewer queue and a developer API.

⚠️
Scope — please read. TrustVerifyID is a developer-first identity-evidence and workflow platform. It is not a bank, not a regulated payment institution, not an e-money institution, not a certified IDSP, and it does not hold a BaFin / FCA / FinCEN licence on your behalf. CDD / EDD outcomes, PSD2 Strong Customer Authentication and any SAR filing remain operator-owned. Use TrustVerifyID where you want the identity-evidence, screening and reviewer-workflow infrastructure inside your own compliance programme.

Regulations covered

EU AML Directive 5 & 6 UK FCA AML guidance FinCEN BSA / USA PATRIOT Act CDD Rule (FinCEN 2018) GDPR (data processing) FATF Recommendations

Fintech needs speed and an evidence trail

Your fintech, neobank front-end or payment platform has to collect identity-evidence, run sanctions / PEP screening and keep an auditable reviewer trail — while your users still expect a fast onboarding flow. TrustVerifyID gives your team the infrastructure to do both; the regulated outcome stays with your compliance programme.

CDD requires identity + address verification for every new customer.

EDD triggers for high-risk profiles (PEPs, high-risk countries, large transactions).

Ongoing monitoring means a one-time KYC is never enough.

GDPR restricts how long you keep biometric and document data.

Building blocks for the compliance lifecycle

🚀

Onboarding workflow

Document OCR + optional liveness in a single hosted or embedded flow. Configurable per-product so you can tune friction vs. evidence per use-case.

📋

CDD & EDD support

Standard CDD evidence collection plus an EDD path you can trigger on PEP hits, high-risk jurisdictions, or large-value accounts. The CDD/EDD decision itself remains the operator's.

📡

Ongoing AML re-screening

Periodic re-screening of your customer base against the configured sanctions / PEP datasets (local OFAC / EU / UN / HMT, daily refresh). Webhook alert when a new hit appears on the next sync.

💳

Transaction monitoring — foundations

Rule-engine foundations for structuring, velocity and unusual-pattern detection, with case-documentation hooks. Not commercially live; SAR filing is not a TrustVerifyID feature.

🔁

Returning-customer skip flow (planned)

Reusable identity profile to let returning customers skip re-verification on the same operator is planned. The underlying `reusable_ids` table exists; the customer-facing profile UI is not live.

🔐

GDPR-aligned data lifecycle

Operator-set retention per data class, audit log of every reviewer view, and a per-applicant erasure endpoint for right-to-be-forgotten requests.
